    The Acts 3:19 Bible Study group was formed for people like you. We’re an open Bible Study group formed around the needs of people from all walks of life. You’ll be encouraged, equipped, and enabled as you study the Word of God with others. We’re unique. We’re not an “age” or “stage” related group which means you’ll participate with others who are just looking for a place to plug in and belong.

  • CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED

    Christianity Explored is for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity informally with a group of other people. Whether you have previous experience of Church, Christians and the Bible, or none at all, this course is for you. Rico Tice leads in this study of Mark to answer the 3 questions: Who is Jesus - Why did He come - What do I have to do about it.

  • English in Hispanic Culture Class

    This class brings the English language to first generation English speaking members.  It is taken by many who have a desire to learn the English language in a Hispanic culture.

    This ungraded adult bible class follows our Re:Verse study weekly.  A rotation of teachers weekly provides a variety of approaches and perspectives.

  • GENERATIONS CLASS

    9:30–10:30am — Webb 216

    This new ladies class, starting in September, 2015, focuses on multi-generations studying God’s Word together. Traditional classes are age-graded. ‘Generations’ seeks to involve ladies from 20 to 100 in a weekly study of our Re:Verse passage, providing upward and downward mentoring and is modeled after the family. Intentional blending of multiple generations will produce a unique perspective on the application of God’s Word.

  • LADIES BIBLE STUDY

    This is a ladies only Bible study class that follows our Re:Verse study weekly.  Characterized by good discussion, good fellowship, and rich encouragement.

  • PASTOR'S CLASS

    9:30–10:30am — Fellowship Hall

    The Pastor’s Class is a class for adults of all ages, for members of FBCSA and those considering membership. We meet in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 AM. The Class uses the Re:Verse curriculum and is co-taught by the Pastor and Jean Nystrand. Every week small group discussion allows for deeper conversation and closer friendships. You are invited.

  • THE GATHERING

    9:30–10:30am — El Tropicano Hotel

    We are adults of all ages, both married and single, all walks of life, and all different “places” in our walk with Christ. We meet across the river in the El Tropicano Hotel and our format is casual and is specifically aimed at those less comfortable with a traditional church setting.

    This is an ungraded senior adult bible class that follows our Re:Verse study weekly.  Characterized by scholarly teaching and good fellowship.

  • WATERFORD CLASS

    9:00–10:30am — Away (The Waterford)

    This is an off-campus class meets at The Waterford at Thousand Oaks for Independent Living. Residents meet in the commons area of the Waterford weekly, studying our Re:Verse study. Class members then join First Baptist in worship on our live broadcast on KSAT 12.

    9:30–10:30am — Webb 213

    For all adults - married or single. After fellowship and prayer requests, the Re:Verse lesson is presented (we rotate teachers weekly to offer diversity of styles and perspectives and to allow many to experience the joy of teaching). Then, we have table discussion, which brings modern application of the scripture to life through sharing of insights and experiences. Class members of all ages and backgrounds learn how to love the Lord and each other in a deep, meaningful and fulfilling way.

  • BEHOLD YOUR GOD

    9:30–10:30am — Kokernot 302

    RETHINKING GOD BIBLICALLY

    Two truths underpin Behold Your God:  (1) a vital knowledge of God is the treasure to reach something more significant and (2) the believer's view of God is the most distinguishing and influential factor in his or her life.  This 25 week course will begin March 12 and will be video based with discussion.

    This Bible Study group aims to faithfully listen and obey God together, through study and discussion of His Word, while also pursuing greater Christian community and mission to the city.
