Director of Media & Broadcast Ministries

Chris Lair began serving at First Baptist Church in 2003 running live sound for Worship Services and Special Events.  He is now is in his 6th year as Director of Media & Broadcast Ministries. Chris graduated from MacArthur H.S. in San Antonio in 1993. He then attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) in San Marcos, majoring in Broadcast Journalism & Speech Communications and minoring in Music. Chris has worked for several local radio stations including WOAI/KJ-97, Y100/KKYX, and Magic 105.3 in a variety of areas including News, Sports, Programming and Production.

Chris provides leadership for all of FBC's media outlets including the 40 year old Television Ministry, CD/DVD duplication Ministry, Online Media (Live Audio/Video Streaming, Podcasting, Media Content for the Website), Media Production & Support for Special Events, and I.T. assistance for the Church.

Chris is married to Alicia Lair and they have three children, Brett, Dylan, and Emily.

The Media Ministry focuses on Reaching, Teaching, and Ministering to those who are unable to attend FBC services and those that might be unsaved but looking to form a relationship with Jesus Christ..

Media Assistant

Robert Haston began serving at First Baptist Church in 1996 as a volunteer in the Television Ministry while still in Middle School. For 15 years now, he has volunteered his time as a Camera Operator, Technical Director, Graphics Operator and on occasion, as a producer for special events. Robert is now in his 3rd year as the Media Assistant at FBC. His weekly responsibilities include handling all media duplication requests, assisting with social media, serving as technical director for the Venture Worship Rally on Sundays in the Chapel, Running graphics for the Youth Ministry "Refuge" on Wednesday nights, I.T. assistance for the Church, and video editing for special projects.

Robert is a graduate of MacArthur H.S. in San Antonio. Before his tenure as Media Assistant at FBC he served as a Camera Operator for the Shamu "Believe" show at Sea World of San Antonio.
