Children’s Choir Workshop
Saturday, February 27
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
We miss you, and we miss your kids. For months now we have been praying for opportunities to begin activities for you again. As we near the Lent and Easter seasons, you and your kids were on our hearts. One of the highlights of worship each year is the inclusion of our children's choirs in our services, and particularly at Palm Sunday. To that end we would love to include them again this year, with some pandemic adjustments.
On Saturday February 27 from 9 AM to noon, we will host a children's choir workshop for kids in the first to fifth grade. This event will take place in the sanctuary and will follow physical distancing protocols that are similar to what they experience in schools. During the workshop Mrs. Kay Pigeon, and Mrs. Laura Stephenson (welcome back!) will help me teach our kids two songs. At the end of the morning we will video the group singing, and those videos will be used in worship on Palm Sunday March 28.
I know you share with me a desire to have your kids back in worship and a part of the life of the church. We are mindful of the anxiety and uncertainty that is still all around us. In addition to the physical distancing in the sanctuary, we will take temperatures at registration, and ask that they wear masks.
The workshop is free to you. We will provide a t-shirt for your kids as well as a snack. I know this will be a meaningful experience for your kids and for the life of this worshipping community. Please prayerfully consider making this a priority.
We cannot wait to hear these kids sing Hosanna!
