Church Family and Friends,

As local city and health officials continue to recommend that large groups refrain from gathering, we will once again Worship from home this Sunday, April 5 through our TV Ministry (KSAT 12) or via our Livestream (fbcsa.org/livestreaming).

Please join us by gathering your family around the Word at this time. Please encourage your family, friends and neighbors to do the same. “Our pews may be empty, but let our praises fill the city!”

To download this Sunday's Worship Bulletin, Sermon notes and the Highlights go to fbcsa.org/publications.

We have also added an Online Bible Study, taught by Blake Coffee, to bless us with an overview of our weekly text. Visit fbcsa.org/onlinebiblestudy.

As we walk through the days and weeks to come, we will continue to send coronavirus updates via email by Tuesday afternoon each week. We will also send out the "E-Vangel," FBCSA's weekly e-newsletter with information regarding upcoming ministry events via email. Sign-up at fbcsa.org/e-vangel. You may also find our latest updates on our Social Media accounts (Facebook, Instagram).

Thank you for helping us follow the recommended guidelines of the city and the nation. If you have any questions, feel free to email us or call the church office at 210.226.0363.

Based on continued discussions with local city and health leaders, all gatherings, meetings and events at FBCSA through Friday, March 20 have been postponed. We will be waiting to hear from city and health leaders throughout the week and will continue to update our website with the latest information and direction. The church office will be open during normal business hours this week. We will communicate our plans for Sunday, March 22 no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, March 20.

Please continue to pray with us for our community as we serve and encourage the city in a time of crisis.

Updated Sunday, March 15 • 2:00 PM

Church Family and Friends,

At the urging and recommendations from city and medical leaders, we have decided to cancel all gatherings and meetings at FBCSA this Sunday, March 15.  This includes all Sunday School groups and Worship gatherings.

We will broadcast (KSAT-12) and stream (fbcsa.org/livestreaming) live at 11:00 am for our members and many others in the San Antonio area to join and worship.

We will send notifications and updates through our website, social media, and email about any cancellations this coming week.

Let us not forget the words of Christ in Matthew: “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” (Mt 18:20)

Jesus Christ is with us, and our God is in control.

Questions or concerns can be directed to communications@fbcsa.org.

Blessings,
First Baptist Church of San Antonio

We are aware of the Mayor’s “declaration of public health emergency” earlier today. We are meeting and praying to determine our plans and response as a church for this Sunday, March 15. We will communicate those later this afternoon via email, social media and other avenues.
