San Antonio Foundation An Enduring Legacy

Message from the Pastor

“Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be ready to share; storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.” 1 Timothy 6:18-29 (NAS) No charitable organization does more important work than your local church. At First Baptist Church of San Antonio, through ministry we spread the good news of God’s love. Many of our members and friends desire to make special gifts for a lasting contribution to that work. One way this can be done is through the First Baptist Church of San Antonio Foundation, Inc. (the“Foundation”).

The Foundation was organized in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization to invest gifts made in perpetuity to the Church. The Foundation invests these gifts, and uses the income to support the ministries of the Church. In this way, the Foundation provides an opportunity to make a perpetual gift to the ongoing work of the Church. The Foundation co-sponsors, together with the Church’s History Committee, the annual Founders Day activities to honor the Church legacy. On Founders Day, the Cadwallader Award is presented to Church members who have made lifelong contributions to the Church.

Warmest regards,

T. Don Guthrie, Senior Pastor
