Private Music Lessons
Private music lessons occur once a week in 30-min, 45-min or 60-min sessions for the duration of the semester, coinciding with the public school calendar (16 lessons in the fall; 20 lessons in the spring; 8 lessons in the summer). Students will receive individualized instruction from their teacher on their instrument at a regular time each week. Private lessons will focus on technique, sight-reading skills, musicality, and good performance practices. Students will learn repertoire to present at end-of-semester recitals as a means of working toward a performance goal and sharing their progress with friends and family. Because musicians are learning a fine motor skill that develops over time, it is the expectation that students registering for private lessons will commit to lessons for the full school year. To maintain progress, summer lessons are highly encouraged.
Tuition for music private lessons start at $30/30-min lesson (Fall: $480, Spring: $600, Summer: $240). IMAGO offers lessons for piano, voice, guitar, organ and violin/viola with plans to expand our teaching staff to include other instruments as we grow.
Students in music lessons have the option to perform in the IMAGO Fall and Spring Recitals. Performances give private lesson students a goal to work toward, as well as the opportunity to share their progress with friends and family. An accompanist will be provided for the recital at no additional cost.
Private Crochet Lessons
Private crochet lessons occur once a week in 60-minute sessions for the duration of the semester, coinciding with the public school calendar (16 lessons in the fall; 20 lessons in the spring; 8 lessons in the summer). Students will receive individualized instruction from their teacher and will learn crochet techniques that will bring creativity and improved skill to their craft.
Tuition for private crochet lessons start at $25/60-min lesson (Fall: $400, Spring: $500, Summer: $200).
Students in crochet lessons have the option to have their work displayed at the IMAGO Fall and Spring Art Shows. Art shows give private lesson students a goal to work toward, as well as the opportunity to share their progress with friends and family.
