Join Community Missions this Christmas as we collect a love gift of donations for a variety of groups throughout our community.

You can sign up below to provide funds for particular items needed. We will make every effort to use your donation for the item(s) you have chosen.

*Please know that all funds will be allocated to Christmas Care and may be used, at the discretion of the Missions Pastor, toward the purchase of a different item than the one(s) selected if we have an abundance of one item and a deficit of another.

Build-A-Bed

This holiday season, First Baptist Church of San Antonio is partnering with South Texas Alliance for Orphans to help provide safe, comfortable beds for children in our community. Through our Build-a-Bed project, volunteers of all ages come together to build beds and help families in need.

Cards for Recruits

Here’s a comment from a trainee attending the Bible class at Lackland: “I absolutely love the Christmas cards. The joy in feeling now, even knowing I won't be home, is comforting. Thank you guys so much! Merry Christmas. I always enjoy coming.”

Do you want to bring joy to an enlisted trainee’s life? We need Christian Christmas Cards, nothing with Santa on it. Write a scripture inside and an encouraging word. Don’t seal the cards. Write “Merry Christmas” in red pen on the envelope. Turn into the office or at the drop off location in Unity Hall. Donation of unused cards is also welcome.

Also, please consider donating to Cru Ministries. They do a lot in our community for the local Air Force trainees.

Kicks for Kids

December 16

We have ministered to kids from the inner city for 7 years now. We desire to have deeper relationships with those in our ministries. Bless one of our Wednesday night basketball kids with new basketball shoes and a Bible. Share your gifts with them at a Christmas meet and greet on December 16. Will you mentor and maintain a relationship with a child? Get to know them and their family?

Word for the World

Donate a Bible

We partner with the Gideons to give testaments to kids during VBS. They also help us get the Word of God to those who need it in our city and in the world. Everyone should have a Bible in their hands.

We also partner with Faith Comes By Hearing to send audio Bibles to Uganda and other countries while going on our mission trips. There is a need to complete language translation for peoples who have not heard the Word of God and have no witness about Jesus. Will you be a part of God’s mission in the world?
