Judson Day

11th Annual Judson Day Celebration

July 19 • 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM

4th Street Crossing

On July 13, 1813, Adoniram Judson and Ann Judson arrived in Yangon as the first American missionaries to Burma, now known as Myanmar. What began as a step of faith became a legacy that transformed countless lives through the Gospel.

For nearly forty years, Adoniram faithfully ministered throughout Burma, enduring persecution, imprisonment, loss, and hardship while remaining devoted to sharing Christ with the Burmese people and tribal communities. His personal goal was simple yet bold: to establish a church with 100 believers before his death. By God’s grace, that vision grew beyond imagination: more than 100 churches were planted and over 8,000 believers came to faith during his lifetime.

Ann Judson faithfully stood beside her husband through every trial. Her compassion, courage, and dedication to the people of Burma left a lasting impact.

Despite overwhelming challenges, Adoniram continued translating the Bible into Burmese, a work that still influences Christians in Myanmar today. The legacy of the Judsons remains a powerful testimony of faith, perseverance, sacrifice, and evangelism.

Two centuries ago, Judson ministered in Burma; today, that legacy continues to bear fruit. Burmese and ethnic churches have been established not only across Myanmar but also around the world. What began in the East has now spread to the West, as believers from these communities have carried their faith globally.

The FBCSA International Family warmly invites everyone to come and celebrate Judson Day as we honor the lives, ministry, and legacy of Adoniram and Ann Judson.
